Mrs. Oller's MLK Day Service Learning Activity
Wow, what a great service learning experience this past Friday evening at the Dream Center. We had six students go to the center and bag food for the homeless and needy. The students did a great job and learned how companies and government agencies donate food and where it goes in the community. The students also toured the clothing bank and barber shop. They decided that we needed to have a clothes drive to get some clothes for the needy. I can't wait to take another group next month. Once students found out about the outing I had students asking me left and right could they go too. Next month I would like to do both Friday evening and Saturday so the students can see who they are helping. Great job Fort Patriot's Service Learners!

Getting Started
The students and teachers are very excited to get started on our Science in Action projects. The 6th grade students are learning about resources. They are eager to begin the recycling project. We are also looking forward to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.
